Senior Principal Product Manager – Audit AI

Role overview Lead product strategy and delivery for an AI-supported solution that helps enterprises manage indirect tax audits and notices. This senior individual-contributor role spans customer discovery, roadmap ownership, workflow design, and launch planning, with a focus on making AI assistance useful, reviewable, and reliable in compliance-sensitive work.

Responsibilities - Set the product vision and multi-year roadmap for audit and notice workflows, balancing early capabilities with durable product value. - Turn audit processes and customer needs into features, requirements, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlogs. - Work with engineering on AI capabilities, model training cycles, and benchmark evaluations. - Establish evaluation practices that identify critical compliance errors and assess the quality of generated insights and responses. - Partner with UX to design human-review flows where tax professionals can verify and approve AI actions. - Collaborate with customers and go-to-market teams to validate direction, plan packaging and pricing, and support adoption.

Requirements - Direct experience managing tax audits and notice responses, including gathering, organizing, and presenting evidence. - Proven product management experience owning strategy, roadmaps, feature definition, and prioritization. - Ability to translate complex audit and compliance workflows into clear requirements for engineering and cross-functional teams. - Strong customer-facing skills for discovery, validation, and strategic discussions. - Experience using cloud software to collect, organize, and manage audit evidence. - Ability to lead across product, engineering, sales, marketing, and consulting without direct authority.

Nice to have - Experience with audit management, risk, or compliance software; tax technology or advisory work; or AI-enabled audit automation. - A degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
