Role overview
Help keep customer-facing cloud services reliable, available, and cost-conscious. Working with a cloud operations team, you’ll maintain production environments, resolve operational issues, automate deployments and routine work, and contribute to infrastructure improvements across distributed data centers.
Responsibilities - Handle cloud operations requests using established procedures and resolve technical issues in production. - Maintain and improve customer environments, including proactive maintenance and infrastructure monitoring. - Automate application setup, configuration, deployment, and other operational processes in partnership with application teams. - Deploy releases, upgrades, and new applications across non-production and production environments. - Monitor and tune systems for performance, availability, and efficient resource use; contribute to capacity, scalability, and high-availability planning. - Maintain team tools and procedures, propose workflow improvements, and coordinate technical planning with architecture, development, and quality assurance teams.
Requirements - A degree in computer science or software engineering, or equivalent experience. - Two to four years of professional DevOps experience. - Experience supporting a production product or service used by customers. - Familiarity with SaaS architecture and at least one major cloud platform. - Programming or automation experience with a language such as Java, Python, Ruby, C/C++, or PL/SQL, plus scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python. - Operating-system administration experience with Windows Server and Linux, and working knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancers, and database servers.
