Forward Deployed Agile Software Engineer

Role overview

Work at the intersection of software engineering, AI product development, and client delivery. You will work directly with client and internal teams to turn unclear business needs into production software, including AI applications whose surrounding tools, workflows, safeguards, and evaluation systems make them dependable in real use.

Responsibilities - Learn client workflows, objectives, technical environments, data, and operating constraints, then translate them into requirements, architectures, prototypes, and delivery plans. - Build AI-enabled applications, agent workflows, APIs, data pipelines, developer tools, and full-stack products, integrating with enterprise systems and cloud services. - Design the systems around AI models, including context, memory, tools, permissions, runtime controls, human approvals, fallbacks, and feedback. - Orchestrate multi-step work with agent loops, graphs, or state machines, and assess quality through task evaluations, regression checks, monitoring, and user feedback. - Instrument applications to inspect decisions and intermediate states, diagnose failures, and improve reliability, safety, latency, and cost. - Collaborate with client stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams; communicate technical choices and risks, and document reusable patterns.

Requirements - Professional experience delivering production-grade software; experience with AI-powered or agentic systems is relevant. - Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or a comparable language used for AI applications and tooling. - Practical understanding of agent harnesses, including context, tools, permissions, controls, and feedback mechanisms. - Experience with agent loops and multi-step orchestration, including planning, execution, observation, recovery, and human approvals. - Experience evaluating and instrumenting AI systems to measure results, trace behavior, and diagnose failures. - Strong grounding in APIs, distributed systems, databases, cloud infrastructure, and modern software development.
