About this role
Role overview Take product projects from initial problem framing through launch across a web application that helps people design and produce physical objects. The role spans interactive 3D experiences, APIs, data, and background jobs, with responsibility for product decisions and the performance and reliability users experience.
Responsibilities - Scope, build, launch, and own complete product projects, from early design discussions through post-launch measurement. - Develop across the stack, including interfaces, APIs, data models, and long-running workflows that produce quotes or production-ready files. - Keep browser based 3D interactions responsive and accurate on real world models, including large assemblies. - Design how users collaborate with an AI agent, including what it presents, asks, and does in the product. - Track and improve user facing performance, reliability, and product polish.
Requirements - At least six years building customer facing products, with substantial contributions to work that can be demonstrated. - Strong depth in one area—web 3D or backend services and data systems—and working fluency across the other. - React and TypeScript experience, plus Python backend development and relational data modeling. - Product judgment to define problems, make user experience decisions, and ship independently. - Hands-on experience making physical objects, such as printing, machining, molding, soldering, or assembly. - Regular use of AI coding agents.
Nice to have - WebGPU or glTF asset pipelines; agent interfaces, tool design, or evaluation; experience measuring onboarding or conversion; or manufacturing and hardware experience.
Benefits and work setup - Remote within the United States, with occasional travel to Detroit. - Base pay of $150,000–$200,000, equity with four-year vesting and a one-year cliff, and health, dental, and vision coverage. - US work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is unavailable. The work may involve data subject to export-control requirements.
