Role overview

Guide software delivery teams in turning client needs into sound technical solutions, balancing strategic direction with hands-on development. The role spans the delivery lifecycle, from early ideas and architecture through implementation, deployment, and evolution in production, while supporting the growth of teammates.

Responsibilities - Shape technical approaches and select technologies that address business needs within project constraints. - Lead or contribute to software delivery from ideation through production, making pragmatic tradeoffs along the way. - Write and review clean, reusable code while promoting test-driven development, pairing, design patterns, and continuous delivery. - Continue coding alongside developers and help teams apply engineering practices consistently. - Work with product, design, and engineering colleagues on features, prototypes, and user experience requirements. - Promote DevSecOps practices, coach teammates, and help create a supportive, feedback-oriented team environment.

Requirements - Proficiency in at least two programming languages, with comfort in modern object-oriented technologies. - Experience leading software teams using Agile, Lean, or continuous delivery approaches. - Knowledge of practices such as test-driven development, continuous integration, pairing, and infrastructure automation. - Ability to connect business goals with technical requirements and develop a technical direction focused on value. - Experience influencing teams, mentoring peers, and advocating for strong engineering practices. - Resilience and sound judgment when working through ambiguity and changing needs.

Nice to have - Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes. - Interest or experience in functional programming, event-driven architecture, or platform engineering.
