Job details
About this role
Role overview
Own complex, multi-site retail technology deployments from early planning through installation, launch, and transition to ongoing operations. You’ll coordinate internal teams, retailer stakeholders, and vendors while solving field issues and building the repeatable project practices that help future rollouts run smoothly.
This senior, hands-on role includes leading the largest deployments, creating clear status and readiness materials, and mentoring colleagues. Travel to stores, partner offices, and vendor sites is expected at roughly one quarter of working time.
Responsibilities
- Build integrated deployment plans covering procurement, certification, site surveys, installation, device registration, content readiness, launch, and handoff. - Coordinate work across operations, product and technology, sales, content, retailer teams, and external vendors. - Track milestones, identify risks early, resolve blockers, and communicate concise status to leadership and retail partners. - Create practical deployment materials such as install guides, store communications, rollout schedules, trackers, and launch checklists. - Manage field, hardware, and logistics vendors against quality, cost, and schedule commitments; visit sites to oversee pilots and address issues. - Establish project standards, playbooks, templates, documentation, and training; mentor junior implementation staff and improve portfolio planning with operations leaders.
Requirements
- Seven or more years in project, program, or implementation management, including ownership of large and complex deployments. - Proven leadership of physical rollouts across many locations, involving installed hardware, fixtures, or technology and field vendors. - Experience creating project processes, documentation, or team training. - Comfort using project management software and spreadsheets to plan and track delivery. - Strong ownership, attention to detail, calm problem-solving when plans change, and clear communication with both frontline and executive audiences. - Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time. - Current authorization to work full-time in the United States.
Nice to have
Direct work with large retail chains or experience in retail technology or in-store media is preferred.
