Role overview Build and operate data pipelines that supply large-scale audio datasets for AI model training and future products. The work combines backend engineering, data acquisition, and infrastructure, with an emphasis on making datasets reliable and processing efficient.

Responsibilities - Find audio data sources and develop dependable pipelines to bring their data into training datasets. - Build and improve large-scale processing systems, balancing data quality, throughput, and cost. - Work with AI researchers to improve datasets and support development of new models. - Own engineering work from identifying a problem through implementation and ongoing improvement.

Requirements - A degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - At least five years of professional software engineering experience and strong backend fundamentals. - Proficiency with Python and Bash in Linux environments. - Experience building and operating production systems, ideally involving data pipelines or large-scale processing. - Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to work independently amid ambiguity.

Nice to have - Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed processing systems. - Cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code experience, especially with GCP and Terraform. - Familiarity with machine learning datasets, dataset quality, or audio processing.
