Software Engineer, AI Data - Helsinki, Finland

Role overview Build the data systems that supply audio datasets for model training and new AI products. The work combines backend engineering, data pipeline development, and collaboration with AI researchers to make large-scale training data more reliable and efficient.

Responsibilities - Find new audio data sources and develop dependable pipelines to bring data into training datasets. - Build and operate large-scale processing systems, improving data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency. - Work with AI researchers to refine datasets and support development of new models. - Own engineering work from identifying a problem through implementation and ongoing improvement.

Requirements - Degree in computer science or a related subject, or equivalent practical experience. - At least five years of professional software engineering experience and strong backend fundamentals. - Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments. - Experience building and running production systems; data pipelines or large-scale processing experience is especially relevant. - Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and ability to work independently amid ambiguity.

Nice to have - Experience with web crawling, data acquisition, or distributed processing systems. - Cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code experience, especially with GCP and Terraform. - Familiarity with machine learning datasets, dataset quality, or audio processing.
