About this role
Role overview
Design and build backend systems for distributed key management and threshold signing. You will implement multi-party computation protocols, turn cryptography research into production software, and improve the performance of signing workflows across distributed infrastructure.
Responsibilities - Design and implement MPC protocols for threshold signatures and distributed key management. - Build and maintain high-performance backend services for custodial wallet infrastructure. - Work with cryptography researchers to translate academic methods into production-ready implementations. - Improve latency and throughput for real-time signing ceremonies across distributed nodes.
Requirements - At least 5 years of backend engineering experience, including at least 2 years working with cryptographic systems. - Strong understanding of elliptic-curve cryptography, secret-sharing schemes, and MPC protocols such as GG20 or CGGMP. - Proficiency in Go or Rust; experience with both is a plus. - Familiarity with hardware security modules, key-management practices, and SOC 2 compliance. - Ability to work independently in a remote-first, asynchronous environment.
