Requirements - At least 5 years of professional software development experience, including production Rust work. - Professional backend experience in at least one additional language, such as Python, Go, Java, C#, C++, or TypeScript/Node.js. - Strong SQL and relational database skills, plus experience building and using REST APIs. - Experience working in an engineering team and maintaining a shared production codebase used by customers. - Background in code review, incident diagnosis, production migrations, and backward-compatible changes. - Clear spoken and written English, with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
Nice to have - Experience with Tokio, SeaORM, Axum, Serde, or other parts of the Rust async ecosystem. - PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server experience. - Work with security and access controls, especially in a regulated environment.
Benefits and work setup - Remote worldwide, with day-rate pay adjusted for experience and local market conditions and capped at €250 per working day. - Applicants are asked to share their country and time zone, expected rate, availability, and an example of a substantial Rust system built professionally.
