About this role
Role overview A senior product design role owning the end-to-end experience of iOS and Android applications for a product development platform used by tens of thousands of teams. The position partners tightly with engineers and product leads in small, autonomous project teams to ship polished, craft-driven mobile experiences in a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities - Own the experience of the iOS and Android apps, including adapting desktop features for mobile contexts. - Pair closely with mobile engineers and product leads on mobile-specific projects, from ideation through shipped releases, with no hand-offs. - Redesign or refine key screens, flows, and smaller quality issues encountered while using the product. - Produce mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals to communicate ideas and execution detail. - Guide and inspire fellow designers through collaborative critique of work-in-progress across mobile and desktop. - Use and contribute to a lightweight design system, and help recruit new teammates who elevate the team.
Requirements - 5+ years of experience designing software, with specific emphasis on mobile product design. - Courage to ask questions, experiment, and advocate for design decisions. - Humility to accept feedback, adapt thinking, and iterate toward better solutions. - Proficiency prototyping in code or with tools such as Figma or Origami. - Ability to distill ambiguous problems and feedback into clear, focused design solutions. - Strong written and verbal communication skills suited to async collaboration.
Nice to have - Experience engaging in technical discussions with engineers and influencing implementation decisions.
