Sr AWS Cloud Engineer- Remote

Role overview Design and deliver secure AWS cloud environments for customer engagements, combining hands-on engineering with technical project leadership. Serve as a customer-facing technical point of contact, guiding delivery teams from solution design through implementation and operational transition while aligning solutions with business needs and cloud best practices.

Responsibilities - Design, implement, and manage AWS solutions using services for compute, storage, networking, identity, databases, monitoring, and security. - Configure cloud security and data services, including tools for threat detection, security posture management, and analytics. - Develop project plans and statements of work for cloud consulting engagements, and manage scope, risk, timelines, and deliverables. - Lead engineering workstreams and coordinate with architecture, security, and project management teams. - Apply AWS Well-Architected guidance and customer governance, operational, and compliance requirements. - Produce technical documentation and support knowledge sharing, including guidance for junior engineers.

Requirements - At least 5 years of experience as a cloud engineer or solutions architect focused on AWS. - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. - Deep knowledge of AWS infrastructure and security, including services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, RDS, CloudFront, CloudTrail, Config, and Route 53. - Experience leading full-lifecycle cloud projects, from architecture and implementation through testing and operational handoff. - Strong client-facing consulting, communication, and technical leadership skills. - Ability to resolve complex issues across networking, identity, compute, storage, and automation; experience with SOWs, project plans, runbooks, and technical documentation.

Nice to have - Familiarity with compliance requirements such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or PCI. - Hands-on experience with AWS security and AI services, including Bedrock, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Macie, or related tools.
