About this role

Role overview

You’ll serve as the People Operations technical lead for HR systems, connecting People teams with IT, corporate platform owners, and vendors. The role covers system troubleshooting, vendor evaluation, workflow improvements, and practical AI enablement, with responsibility for carrying initiatives from requirements through rollout and adoption.

Responsibilities

- Act as the main People Operations contact for system integrations, data structure changes, permissions, and escalations. - Build technical fluency across the HCM platform and other People systems to assess proposals and diagnose issues independently. - Define requirements, evaluate vendors, support RFPs, and present recommendations to leadership. - Partner with IT and People stakeholders to design and roll out workflow changes and automations, including user acceptance testing and validation before launch. - Manage improvement projects from scoping and stakeholder coordination through change management and post-launch review. - Triage system problems, determine whether they relate to data, configuration, vendors, or integrations, and document changes and troubleshooting guidance.

Requirements

- At least five years in HRIS or People Systems, including vendor relationship ownership or RFP leadership. - Strong working knowledge of Oracle HCM or a comparable HCM system, including architecture, permissions, and integrations. - Experience managing change and partnering with IT or engineering on integrations, workflows, or automation. - Ability to work effectively when there is limited precedent or no established playbook. - Hands-on experience applying AI tools to real workflows, with measurable results such as time saved or fewer errors.

Nice to have

A bachelor’s degree, experience with systems such as Qualtrics, Jira Service Management, or Okta, and work in a matrixed organization or with global HR data structures are preferred. Vendor issue triage experience is also useful.
