Senior Software Engineer - Mobile Device Security

Role overview Build and improve backend systems and detection methods that identify sophisticated threats targeting Android and iOS devices. The work spans contained on-premise environments and cloud deployments, with a focus on dependable, scalable services and accurate detection as mobile platforms and attacker techniques change.

Responsibilities - Design and update detection algorithms and rules for mobile threats, keeping pace with observed exploits and operating system changes while limiting false positives. - Help guide system architecture, including service boundaries, data pipelines, APIs, and growth planning. - Contribute code to complex, high-impact areas of the product. - Deliver features from development through production, maintaining quality and stability. - Work with product and security colleagues to align engineering with product needs. - Improve performance, reliability, and scalability, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements - Five or more years of professional software engineering experience; security experience is preferred. - Strong software design and architecture skills, including production backend systems. - Experience with Go, Python, and Rust. - Familiarity with continuous integration and containerization such as Docker. - Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Ability to prioritize work and adapt in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have - Experience with IDA Pro or similar reverse-engineering tools. - Previous work in information security, government compromise detection, or incident response.
