Job details
About this role
Role overview Lead a strategic initiative to build consumer shopping products that help people track deals and price changes. You’ll shape the problem with business stakeholders, then own the product from user experience and architecture through delivery, production operation, and ongoing improvement. The role combines hands-on full-stack engineering with technical leadership and product judgment.
Responsibilities - Research user needs with stakeholders, test assumptions, prioritize opportunities, and define measures of success. - Design user flows and interfaces, then build across client applications, backend services, and integrations. - Break broad goals into deliverable stages, manage dependencies and risks, guide engineers, and communicate trade-offs. - Own quality and operation in production, including security, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, rollouts, and reliability. - Use telemetry, user feedback, and business results to choose follow-up improvements. - Apply AI tools thoughtfully throughout development, validating their output and taking responsibility for production code.
Requirements - Experience owning a substantial product or initiative end to end, from an unclear problem through launch and later improvements. - Background building consumer products and using analytics, experiments, and user feedback to guide decisions. - Strong product judgment: clarify needs, challenge assumptions, and turn business goals into practical, value-focused plans. - Hands-on TypeScript experience building and maintaining production software across frontend and backend. - Ability to make architecture decisions and guide other engineers while remaining hands-on. - Knowledge of system design, security, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and production cloud operations; experience with a major cloud platform is expected. - Regular use of AI-assisted development, with care for correctness, security, and maintainability.
