About this role
Role overview Build and maintain customer-facing subscription product features across a TypeScript application, from initial requirements through production release and follow-up. You’ll work across a Next.js client and a Node.js backend, taking ownership of code quality, reliability, security, and the performance of the areas you change.
Responsibilities - Develop features across a Next.js App Router client and a Fastify or similar backend connected to PostgreSQL and a headless CMS. - Follow established code organization, naming, and import conventions. - Release changes behind feature flags and experiments, with localization across supported languages. - Integrate billing, email, customer relationship management, and analytics services through REST APIs and webhooks. - Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; review your work and teammates’ code. - Investigate recurring defects, improve page and API performance, and apply secure validation, access control, and secret-handling practices. - Add structured logs, metrics, and alerts; plan, estimate, deliver, and monitor work within a sprint.
Requirements - At least 2 years of commercial React experience, including 1 year with Next.js App Router, Server Components, route handlers, and rendering or caching strategies; strong TypeScript skills. - Node.js backend experience with a typed HTTP framework and PostgreSQL, including REST API design, migrations, and webhook security and reliability. - Familiarity with client tools such as TanStack Query, Zustand, React Hook Form, Zod, Tailwind CSS, and a React component library. - Experience with a code-first headless CMS backed by PostgreSQL, including access controls, generated types, and migrations. - Testing and delivery experience with end-to-end and unit or integration frameworks, Git, code review, and CI. - Daily use of AI development tools, with responsibility for checking generated code for correctness and security. - English proficiency at B1 level or higher; clear written communication and sound judgment about when to escalate technical decisions.
