About this role

Role overview

A Technical Architect is needed for an enterprise engagement connecting an Oracle E-Business Suite environment to a broader integration and applications ecosystem as part of an AI-driven modernization initiative. The work is hands-on and architectural: building a common data-services layer that reconciles multiple, differently configured EBS instances across regions rather than treating them as identical. The role partners directly with developers and technical stakeholders, not as a translator between business and engineering, but as a peer who drives the SQL and architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

- Design and build a common data-services layer that connects multiple, differently configured Oracle EBS instances across regions, reconciling real differences between environments. - Expose EBS data through integrations and APIs to downstream systems, with a focus on Manufacturing, Inventory, and Item Master data. - Work hands-on with PL/SQL, EBS Open Interfaces, and standard APIs in a build role, not a configuration role. - Partner with developers and technical stakeholders as a peer, serving as the go-to voice on SQL and architecture questions. - Bring an architect's perspective across distinct systems, spotting where approaches diverge and designing solutions that hold up everywhere. - Act as a trusted technical voice in an early-stage initiative, helping shape how the work gets scoped and delivered.

Requirements

- Strong consulting experience working directly with stakeholders and clients. - Deep, hands-on Oracle EBS technical development experience, including PL/SQL, EBS Open Interfaces, standard APIs, and concurrent program load mechanisms. - Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and/or SOA, plus REST/SOAP web services. - Working knowledge of EBS data models for Manufacturing/BOM, Inventory, and Item Master, with direct experience on the Item/PTM table being especially valuable. - Experience working across multiple EBS instances, ideally having reconciled differently configured environments. - A technical and integration mindset over a functional or configuration mindset, with comfort going deep on code and architecture. - Comfort operating in some ambiguity and helping shape the approach alongside the team.

Nice to have

- Familiarity with Oracle Product Data Cloud (Oracle PLM).

Benefits and work setup

- Posted compensation range of $130,000-$175,000 annualized for pay transparency; final structure is likely an hourly contractor arrangement, determined by experience, skills, qualifications, scope, market conditions, and business needs. - Sponsorship is not available for this role. - Boutique consulting culture that emphasizes consultant ownership, direct access to leadership, and meaningful input into client work.
