Role overview
A product management role focused on the Risk & Compliance area of a platform that supports scientific research organizations worldwide. The hire will balance near-term execution with longer-term strategy, acting as the connective layer between engineering, design, sales, marketing, customer success, and external stakeholders. Domain expertise in research compliance is not required; curiosity, customer focus, and strong product judgment are emphasized.
Responsibilities
- Build understanding of customer workflows, pain points, and requirements through direct conversations with clients and internal stakeholders. - Contribute to roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, and ongoing product planning activities. - Participate in discovery sessions, requirements discussions, product demos, and feedback meetings to surface opportunities. - Analyze customer requests to identify underlying needs and broader product opportunities. - Partner with engineering, design, QA, implementation, customer success, support, and sales teams to deliver product outcomes. - Translate business and user requirements into clear documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting specs. - Join sprint ceremonies, release activities, and post-delivery validation to confirm work meets defined objectives. - Manage expectations around priorities, capabilities, and timelines for both internal teams and customers.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of product management experience. - Comfortable working in Agile environments with distributed teams. - Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives spanning engineering, sales, marketing, and support. - Analytical mindset with skill for converting user and business needs into actionable plans. - Experience working with established or legacy software products. - Familiarity with PM and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, or equivalents. - Working understanding of APIs, integrations, databases, or general software development concepts. - Interest in AI and emerging technologies applied to enterprise products.
