Staff Software Engineer

Role overview Set technical direction and deliver production systems across complex engineering initiatives, with a focus on blockchain and Web3 infrastructure. This senior individual contributor role combines hands-on backend and platform development with architecture leadership, cross-team guidance, and ownership of system quality.

Responsibilities - Lead architecture for complex blockchain projects and initiatives that span teams. - Design and build scalable backend, platform, and Web3 infrastructure. - Integrate blockchain networks and smart contracts with off-chain services. - Guide delivery of high-impact engineering work and help teams resolve technical obstacles. - Improve engineering quality through design and code reviews, standards, and mentorship. - Work with product and engineering leads on roadmap tradeoffs, reliability, performance, and production risks.

Requirements - At least eight years of software engineering experience, including three or more years working directly with blockchain or Web3 systems. - Experience owning complex production systems at staff or equivalent scope. - Strong knowledge of blockchain architecture, Ethereum, and EVM-compatible networks. - Experience designing smart contracts and integrating blockchain services. - Deep expertise in at least one of Node.js/TypeScript, Go, Rust, or Java. - Strong distributed systems and system design skills, including scalable APIs, data processing, and platform infrastructure. - Understanding of blockchain security, transaction processing, and on-chain/off-chain design. - A record of mentoring engineers and communicating effectively across teams.

Nice to have - Experience with real-world asset tokenization, decentralized finance, or fintech systems. - Solidity or smart contract architecture experience.
