About this role
Role overview Build and refine AI agents that help businesses handle customer questions, appointments, support, and online services. You’ll use AI-assisted development tools to create working products, add custom features when needed, and connect agents to business systems through APIs.
Responsibilities - Create and publish business agents, taking them from an initial prompt to a finished experience. - Add interfaces and functionality with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript when a project calls for custom code. - Integrate services such as calendars, payments, CRMs, inventory systems, and messaging tools through APIs. - Test and debug agent behavior, including pricing accuracy, customer flows, and response safety. - Explore new agent-building approaches, share useful findings, and turn successful projects into reusable templates.
Requirements - Experience building working projects with AI development tools such as Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0, or Claude Code. - Ability to read and edit HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, work with REST APIs, and spot problems in user flows. - Fluent English communication. - Suitable experience may come from frontend development, visual website building, independent projects, or early-career engineering.
Benefits and work setup - Remote contract with flexible hours; contractors worldwide may apply except in Russia and Belarus. - Monthly compensation starts at $2,500, with the final rate agreed during interview. - Freelancers and small studios may continue working with their own clients. - The practical hiring exercise is a free 72-hour online hackathon, December 4–7, 2026. Participants build an agent for a real local business; there is no separate take-home assignment. Registration closes December 3 at 11:59 p.m. PT, and submissions are due December 7 at noon PT. Prizes include devices, platform credits, and potential interviews for standout work.
