Job details
About this role
Role overview Lead product and engineering for a broad software domain that supports the day-to-day operational work of hotel teams. Set its strategy and roadmap while guiding the engineering organization to keep a complex, multi-service platform dependable and evolving. The role combines executive product ownership with hands-on technical judgment, including decisions about where AI can improve the product itself.
Responsibilities - Own the domain’s product and engineering strategy, roadmap, and delivery across multiple services. - Lead distributed engineering teams across time zones and establish ways for them to work and ship together. - Build a strong management team, develop senior individual contributors, and shape a healthy culture as the organization grows. - Improve reliability, performance, and technical health while maintaining ongoing customer delivery. - Identify suitable product uses for AI and deliver improvements that affect hotel teams’ everyday work.
Requirements - Experience with combined product and engineering ownership at VP level, with end-to-end accountability for a complex product domain. - A record of leading globally distributed engineering teams. - Operating experience in a scaling SaaS business, ideally from late-stage growth through pre-IPO or recent public-company stages. - Ability to lead managers and senior engineers, and improve system quality without halting delivery. - Experience shipping AI as a core product capability, with enough knowledge of models and infrastructure to make engineering decisions.
Nice to have - Experience with hospitality software such as property, point-of-sale, channel, or revenue management systems. - Background in travel technology or other high-availability operational B2B platforms. - Founder or early-stage experience building products from initial concept to scale.
Benefits and work setup Remote-first, flexible or hybrid working options; the option to work abroad for several weeks each year; relocation options after one year; and a home-office budget and monthly work-from-home allowance. Location-specific benefits may also be available.
