Role overview Support one of the world's largest poker games as a Senior Data Analyst, turning player behavior into insights that shape product strategy, retention, and revenue. The role spans experimentation, business intelligence, game telemetry, and integrity work such as fraud detection, while contributing to broader analytics AI initiatives. It is ideal for a senior analyst who enjoys both hands-on analysis and elevating the team's craft.
Responsibilities - Partner with the product team to improve revenue, retention, and engagement metrics through A/B testing, insight analysis, and dashboard development - Analyze player behavior and translate findings into experience improvements in collaboration with game design and consumer insights teams - Design and maintain ETL pipelines from multiple sources to serve as the source of truth for analysis and business intelligence - Design telemetry that captures meaningful player interactions and feed that data into product improvements - Build and maintain a suite of leadership-facing dashboards used for strategic decisions across the poker product - Help tune game economy features for long-term health and lead continuous improvement of fraud and bad actor models - Contribute to the analytics organization's AI initiative, exploring how LLMs can multiply analyst impact
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative field; advanced degrees are a plus - Minimum of 4 years in data science or analytics roles, ideally on a product data science or gaming analytics team - Track record of guiding product teams through complex decisions and making sense of ambiguous data - Proficiency in Python and SQL, with demonstrated experience in data mining, visualization, statistical analysis, and machine learning - Interest or experience improving analytics workflows using LLMs and other AI tools - Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex data in simple, actionable terms
Nice to have - Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and version control systems like Git - Background in poker gameplay and terminology, or in social casino economies
