Role overview
A senior technical program management leader is needed to drive execution of the most strategic engineering initiatives within a shared platform engineering organization. Reporting to executive leadership and based hybrid in San Jose, California (three days a week onsite), this role translates organizational priorities into actionable plans and establishes the operational rhythm of the business. It blends program management discipline with strategic influence, change management, and cross-functional planning across product and platform engineering.
Responsibilities
- Lead definition, planning, and delivery of complex, cross-functional technical programs aligned to R&D and strategic goals. - Drive critical customer retention efforts by tracking support tickets, deployment progress, and telemetry data against priority account health. - Establish and manage the interlocks, timelines, and workflows that define the operational rhythm for platform engineering and OKR achievement. - Design, implement, and refine program management frameworks, processes, and tools to improve efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement. - Manage dependencies, communicate program status and risks to executive leadership, and operationalize key transformational change plans.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in technical program management or a related technical field, with leadership of large-scale initiatives. - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's preferred. - Proven track record applying methodologies such as Agile and Scrum and influencing executive leadership across large engineering organizations. - Deep understanding of API platforms and software application frameworks such as Java and Spring (for example Spring Boot and Spring Cloud). - Demonstrated curiosity about AI tools with a history of integrating new technologies into daily workflows. - Highly organized with strong attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to support C-level executives in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Experience in a high-growth SaaS or cybersecurity organization. - Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. - Advanced process knowledge (for example Six Sigma) and certification in PMP, SAFe, or Scrum Master.
