Role overview
A remote US-based Creative Director position responsible for building an AI-native, in-house creative function that supports work across national security, defense, intelligence, public sector, and critical infrastructure markets. The seat is a player-coach role: an individual contributor who personally ships the highest-priority work while also constructing the prompts, templates, and playbooks that let a lean team operate like a much larger one.
Responsibilities
- Set the creative bar across brand, web, campaigns, events, social, video, and sales materials, and personally design and produce the most strategic deliverables - Translate complex AI, agent orchestration, edge computing, and security concepts into clear, credible visual systems - Partner with federal, demand, product, and digital marketing teams, plus PR, on integrated campaign execution - Collaborate with the Product team on design direction and in-product visuals, and with GTM/Sales on enablement and customer-facing assets - Stand up and manage a flexible bench of designers and specialists as demand grows, starting with limited contractor support - Build machine-readable brand guidance, reusable prompts, kits, and AI-assisted workflows that raise speed and quality across the team
Requirements
- Online portfolio or PDF of work samples required to be considered - Background setting the creative bar in brand design, art direction, or creative services within high-growth technology, AI, B2B SaaS, or similarly complex technical markets - Daily fluency with frontier AI assistants and AI design/image/video tooling, used to lift both speed and quality - Creative coding ability to turn concepts into working prototypes using AI-assisted design-to-code tools - A track record of converting brand guidelines into runnable systems: reusable prompts, templates, kits, or workflows - Hands-on motion and video production skills (storyboarding, editing, shipping demo clips and launch videos), plus strong command of Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite
Nice to have
- Experience in defense, national security, intelligence, national labs, critical infrastructure, public sector, or other regulated, high-consequence industries - Background with ABM, demand generation, product launches, or full-funnel B2B campaigns - Familiarity with lightweight web tools such as Webflow or Framer - Experience building AI brand kits or machine-readable brand guidance adopted by other teams
