Job details
About this role
Role overview This is a six-month contract Product Owner role, fully remote within Europe and aligned to a GMT working schedule, with potential to extend. The position sits inside a client-facing product team and focuses on shaping digital products from discovery through delivery. It blends product strategy, backlog ownership, and close partnership with engineering, design, and client stakeholders in an agile environment.
Responsibilities - Co-author the product vision with the client, set team goals, and align delivery with wider business objectives. - Develop a deep understanding of customer personas, jobs-to-be-done, and product behaviours to guide decision-making. - Lead a cross-functional delivery team, identify customer needs, and translate them into a prioritised roadmap and actionable backlog. - Manage and groom the backlog continuously, working with developers and a tech lead to keep work focused and well-defined. - Join client discovery sessions for new features and track post-launch performance to drive ongoing iteration. - Collaborate with the tech lead to weigh trade-offs and steer away from over- or under-engineered solutions.
Requirements - Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager taking digital products from discovery through launch. - Background leading cross-functional delivery teams in an agile setting such as Scrum or Kanban. - Confidence writing and refining user stories, acceptance criteria, and running backlog refinement with developers. - Familiarity with prioritisation frameworks and the ability to communicate trade-offs clearly to stakeholders. - Experience using analytics, experimentation, and user research to inform product decisions. - Comfort working with senior stakeholders in a client-facing or consultancy environment.
Nice to have - Strong written and verbal communication, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences. - A proactive, self-motivated mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative working style. - Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and ethical working practices.
Benefits and work setup - Remote-first working environment with flexible hours and an emphasis on work-life balance. - Equal-opportunity employer committed to diversity in all its forms.
