AI Tutor, Vietnamese - Temporary

Role overview Help improve an AI product’s ability to understand and speak Vietnamese by preparing and reviewing language and audio data. The work combines careful speech annotation, English-to-Vietnamese localization, and attention to pronunciation, natural phrasing, and cultural context. You will also work with technical colleagues to improve how speech data is labeled and handled.

Responsibilities - Annotate and review multilingual recordings, audio clips, and speech samples using internal tools. - Translate and localize interface text, prompts, responses, and other content from English into Vietnamese. - Help create clear audio examples that reflect Vietnamese pronunciation, rhythm, intonation, and accent. - Work with technical staff to refine annotation guidance for accents, background noise, speech variation, and multilingual recordings.

Requirements - Vietnamese proficiency at CEFR C1 level or higher. - English proficiency at CEFR B2 level or higher. - Availability for a temporary engagement expected to last six months; extensions or conversion may depend on business needs. - Willingness to travel to a work site when required. - Ability to work without visa sponsorship; sponsorship is not offered.

Nice to have - Native-level Vietnamese and English proficiency at CEFR C1 or above. - Experience with advanced transcription or audio annotation, including accents, prosody, disfluencies, and uneven recording quality. - English-to-Vietnamese translation or localization experience, particularly for product or conversational text. - Voice recording, performance, podcasting, linguistics, phonetics, speech science, or work with speech datasets and AI training data.

Benefits and work setup Remote work is available from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, or Australia; US hiring is unavailable in Wyoming and Illinois. The position may be full-time or part-time, with full-time preferred and standard local business hours expected. US-based pay is listed as $35–$45 per hour; international compensation is shared during hiring. Eligible US roles may include health insurance, a 401(k), and paid sick leave.
