Role overview
Manage the data systems behind organizing tools used across a multi-state, coalition-oriented political organization. This role combines platform administration, data quality, SQL analysis, and hands-on support for organizers, helping ensure that reliable data and practical systems strengthen campaign work.
Responsibilities - Administer core organizing platforms and serve as a primary support contact for staff using them. - Maintain data integrity through quality checks, troubleshooting, and consistent standards across systems. - Use SQL to query a BigQuery warehouse, prepare lists, and calculate metrics for organizers. - Train staff and create documentation that makes technical processes and data requirements accessible. - Collaborate with organizers to design effective data workflows, including clean data entry and upload practices. - Coordinate with data and engineering colleagues on prioritization, new syncs, data models, and system improvements.
Requirements - Experience administering campaign or organizing data systems, including familiarity with their data structures and practical quirks. - Ability to write SQL queries and work with a cloud data warehouse such as BigQuery. - Strong analytical reasoning and careful attention to detail when checking data, assumptions, and stakeholder needs. - Experience supporting multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment with requests or tickets. - Ability to scope and manage data projects from gathering input and design through implementation, upkeep, and improvement. - Clear communication skills, including explaining technical information, creating documentation, and training users.
Nice to have
Experience with voter data platforms or campaign scores, data visualization and reporting tools, and systems such as EveryAction, VAN, Votivate, Scale to Win, or Mobilize.
Benefits and work setup
This is a bargaining-unit role in a unionized workplace. Salary depends on location, with listed ranges from $64,900 to $109,000.
