About this role
Role overview Build and evolve customer-facing software and integrations for a corporate payments platform. The work includes partner-specific solutions, platform architecture, and production support, with responsibility spanning requirements, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring. The role collaborates closely with internal teams and external partners to connect technical work to customer and business needs.
Responsibilities - Develop partner solutions based on shared product roadmaps and business requirements. - Gather needs from stakeholders and partners, demonstrate completed work, and explain technical choices and value. - Help shape and implement the platform’s architectural roadmap in line with business objectives and engineering practices. - Design, build, test, and deliver production-ready software, including unit and integration tests. - Support existing customer implementations, troubleshoot issues, and deliver features that help customers operate payment and card programs. - Take end-to-end technical responsibility for initiatives and contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions.
Requirements - At least 5 years of software engineering experience. - At least 3 years working with relational databases, such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. - Experience rapidly developing and deploying services on a cloud platform such as AWS or Azure. - Ability to write and maintain unit, component, and integration tests, with a solid understanding of test strategy. - Understanding of cloud and data security and compliance requirements; financial services experience is preferred. - Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, and decision-making skills, including comfort working through ambiguity.
Nice to have - Experience with payment processing, credit card products, or accounts payable or receivable. - Familiarity with C#/.NET, Go, React, Angular, cloud-native applications, and web services or APIs. - Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams.
Benefits and work setup - Remote work is available to candidates living within 30 miles of Dallas, Texas, or Portland, Maine. - The stated base pay range is $121,500–$145,500.
