Senior Software Engineer

Role overview A remote-first, full-time position is open for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and operate a cloud platform that enables customers to deploy and run full-stack web applications supported by AI agents. The role centers on backend service design, cloud infrastructure, and end-to-end feature ownership in a fast-moving engineering environment.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and operate reliable cloud services on platforms such as AWS and Cloudflare, working across compute, storage, networking, and managed infrastructure. - Evolve the underlying infrastructure that powers web applications and AI-driven agents on the cloud platform. - Participate in an on-call rotation, investigate production incidents, and drive preventative improvements. - Leverage CDN and edge compute capabilities to help customers deliver fast, resilient experiences globally. - Own features end-to-end, from customer problem framing through design, implementation, rollout, and ongoing iteration. - Apply AI-assisted development practices while maintaining rigorous code quality, validation, and engineering judgment.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 5+ years building and operating backend services in production. - Demonstrated experience designing backend service boundaries, contracts, and data ownership—not only implementing within them. - Business-level fluency in written and spoken English. - Hands-on experience with production databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB, including data modeling and query optimization. - Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, with comfort working in edge runtimes.

Nice to have - Familiarity with modern web architecture including HTTP, caching, CDNs, and edge compute patterns. - Track record of applying best practices for performance, security, accessibility, and reliability. - Experience using AI tools to accelerate personal or professional development. - Comfort making trade-offs between customer needs, delivery speed, and long-term maintainability.
