Middle Python Developer (AI/ML Integrations)

Role overview

Mid-level Python developer focused on integrating LLMs and machine learning into a production cloud platform used by accounting firms and tax consultants. The role centers on building AI-driven backend services that connect advanced technology with real user workflows around auditing, bookkeeping, tax reporting, and document processing. The work is fully remote and involves operating AI features at production scale.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain backend services and AI-driven systems in Python for cloud environments - Integrate and operationalize LLMs in production, including OCR, document processing, and knowledge-extraction pipelines - Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines using vector databases and unstructured data - Build reliable APIs and orchestration logic using task frameworks and message queues - Apply MLOps practices around model lifecycle management and deployment strategies where applicable

Requirements

- Three or more years of professional Python development experience - Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into backend or production systems - Solid understanding of RAG architecture, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search - Familiarity with LLM observability tools such as Langfuse or Arize Phoenix - Experience with REST or GraphQL API development - Practical experience with Azure, Docker or Docker Compose, Kubernetes or Terraform, Git, and modern CI/CD pipelines - Upper-intermediate English or higher

Nice to have

- OCR integration experience - LLM orchestration and agent frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, LangGraph, or MCP - Data lakes, data warehouses, or large-scale document-processing systems - Oracle Cloud exposure - Fintech industry background
