About this role
Role overview Own the design and delivery of web applications across frontend, backend and deployment, using modern JavaScript and TypeScript tools. Projects may include decoupled commerce storefronts, integrations and open source contributions, with responsibility for technical decisions and reliable releases.
Responsibilities - Build web applications and component-based interfaces with React and Next.js, backed by Node.js services. - Develop headless storefronts connected to commerce platforms, content systems or custom services. - Design APIs, databases, integrations and deployment approaches to support maintainable applications. - Break work into tasks, estimate delivery, review code and prepare releases; manage staging, monitoring and rollback plans. - Improve rendering and application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and address security and scalability needs. - Contribute fixes, features or documentation to open source projects and support team quality through design discussions, mentoring and documentation.
Requirements - At least two years of full-stack JavaScript or TypeScript experience, including hands-on React and Next.js. - Backend and API development experience with Node.js, Express or a comparable server-side stack. - Experience owning delivery in a client, product or multi-project setting and communicating estimates and timelines. - Working knowledge of Git workflows, branching, code review and release practices. - Database experience covering design, queries, migrations and basic optimisation. - Understanding of security fundamentals such as authentication, input validation, secrets management and API hardening; a BE, B.Tech, M.Tech or MCA degree is listed.
Nice to have Headless commerce or CMS integrations, Hydrogen or Storefront API, open source contributions, modular services, caching, JWT or OAuth, cloud hosting, CI/CD, Docker, production monitoring, or experience with high-traffic or multi-tenant systems. The engagement may be hybrid or remote, full-time or part-time.
