Role overview
Engineer and operate enterprise network infrastructure across office, engineering, manufacturing, secure, and mission-support environments. The work spans implementation, site deployments, troubleshooting, reliability, security controls, and documentation, with close coordination across infrastructure, cybersecurity, operations, vendors, and site teams. The position is based in Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities - Configure and support LAN, WAN, wireless, internet edge, VPN, remote access, routing, switching, firewalls, and related network services. - Turn approved designs into implementation and rollback plans, configurations, test procedures, and as-built records; coordinate staging, carrier connections, cutovers, and validation. - Support new site activations, office expansions, technology refreshes, migrations, and integration of acquired environments. - Monitor availability, capacity, and performance; investigate complex connectivity problems, identify root causes, and implement lasting fixes. - Maintain firmware, patches, backups, configuration records, and network diagrams in line with change-management practices; participate in planned maintenance and critical incident on-call coverage. - Work with cybersecurity teams on segmentation, firewall rules, secure access, logging, and controls supporting contractual and regulatory requirements; identify risks and resilience gaps.
Requirements - Hands-on enterprise network engineering experience covering implementation, operations, and troubleshooting across wired, wireless, and remote-access environments. - Ability to translate network requirements into configurations, test plans, rollback steps, and clear operational documentation. - Experience diagnosing routing, latency, firewall, wireless, and application-access issues and validating redundancy and failover. - Familiarity with network security controls, segmentation, access management, and change-management practices. - Strong communication and coordination skills when working with technical teams, vendors, and nontechnical stakeholders. - Must qualify as a U.S. person under applicable export-control rules and be eligible to obtain any required export authorizations.
