Role overview An intermediate analytics developer is needed to support a SaaS training and communication platform aimed at frontline workforces. The role sits at the crossroads of data analysis, software engineering, and applied AI, partnering with product and engineering teams to deliver proactive insights and customer-facing data products. The position is well suited to someone who enjoys turning raw data into clear narratives and is curious about using AI agents to automate analytics work.
Responsibilities - Build and maintain user-facing reports that help customers understand workforce performance and uncover improvement opportunities. - Develop and maintain data models and pipelines in Google BigQuery, using partitioning and clustering to balance performance and cost. - Apply statistical techniques to surface meaningful insights and inform data-driven decisions. - Collaborate with product managers, developers, designers, and UX researchers on feature analyses, ad-hoc requests, and product insight reports. - Review data schemas for new features to ensure future analytics needs are supported. - Provide constructive code review feedback and troubleshoot data discrepancies across ingestion, warehouse, and semantic layers. - Work with AI agent tools to support automation and insight generation for customers and internal teams. - Contribute to the data team's shared knowledge base and stay current on emerging analytics practices.
Requirements - Hands-on experience with SQL, BigQuery, and a BI tool such as Looker. - Proficiency with Python for scripting, data engineering, or pipeline work. - Familiarity with generative AI tools and large language models for code generation, data cleaning, or workflow automation. - Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts and their application to analytics and reporting. - Solid understanding of ERDs, data relationships, and core statistics including t-tests and linear regression. - Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences, plus solid product and business judgment.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote, full-time position at 40 hours per week. - Eight-hour workday aligned with US East Coast business hours. - Independent contractor engagement paid in USD, with biweekly or monthly payment options.
