Role overview
A senior analytics engineering role sits within a Campaign Intelligence team powering a large-scale ads platform. The position owns the integrated data models behind pacing, budget forecasting, target ROAS, and auction optimization, translating advertiser, publisher, and event domains into reliable datasets for product, data science, business, and client teams. Work spans the full lifecycle from requirements gathering through production pipelines in a cloud lakehouse.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable analytical data models in an AWS-based lakehouse environment. - Partner with product and technology stakeholders to define data requirements and shape the evolution of the data stack. - Develop ingestion, transformation, and modeling pipelines using modern orchestration and data processing tools. - Translate analytical and technical needs from non-technical audiences into practical data solutions. - Monitor pipeline and query performance, optimize SQL and Python code, and uphold reliability standards. - Champion engineering best practices and contribute to community knowledge sharing across the data organization.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in data modeling and large-scale data warehousing on AWS (Redshift, Athena/Trino, Glue, EMR, S3). - Advanced proficiency in SQL, Spark, and Python, including hands-on work with query optimization. - Practical experience with orchestration and transformation tools such as Airflow, Spark, Glue, and EMR. - Familiarity with ad tech and martech metrics, including ROAS, CTR, CPC, attribution, and campaign performance concepts. - Working knowledge of semantic data layers (e.g., dbt semantic layer, LookML, Cube). - Hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, and documentation. - Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences, plus an analytical, autonomous, and collaborative working style.
