Senior Systems Engineer

Role overview Work alongside sales teams to demonstrate data protection solutions and help customers and partners assess how they fit their technical and business needs. The role combines customer-facing presentations, proof-of-concept delivery, technical consulting and feedback to product teams. It covers the Hamburg, Bremen, Oldenburg, Kiel and Schwerin area, with travel of up to 50% within the region.

Responsibilities - Present and demonstrate solutions in person and in virtual customer meetings. - Set up and manage proofs of concept through technical evaluation and completion. - Translate customer and partner objectives into technical requirements and provide data protection guidance. - Support pre-sales evaluations and collaborate with sales to develop new customer and partner relationships. - Contribute to lead-generation activities such as events, webinars and user groups. - Share customer feedback with product management.

Requirements - Experience in solution sales or technical pre-sales is preferred. - Industry experience with data protection technologies. - Familiarity with virtualization and monitoring tools or frameworks. - Knowledge of storage, networking or cloud technologies is highly desirable. - Able to work independently with limited direction, adapt to changing responsibilities and learn new technologies quickly. - Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned region; applicants must be permanently located in Germany.

Nice to have - VMCE certification; the employer also offers opportunities to pursue VMCE and VMCA after starting. - Experience delivering software in complex environments and familiarity with data protection solutions. - Strong written and spoken communication, including the ability to present to groups in both German and English. - Relevant professional certifications.
