Senior Domain Engineering Specialist

Role overview

This is a senior specialist position focused on customer outcomes across security and resilience use cases within a unified data platform. The role partners closely with Customer Success Engineers and Account Executives to validate architectures, run readiness reviews, and engage executive stakeholders such as CISOs and CIOs. It is a pooled resource model covering Enterprise and Commercial-Named accounts, generally at a ratio of one specialist to six or more field engineers, and is not the primary owner of onboarding or renewals motions.

Responsibilities

- Lead customer conversations on security-related products, solution architectures, and risk topics across the data platform portfolio. - Run readiness checks and own data modeling activities that validate solution design and accelerate go-live decisions. - Monitor attack surface exposure and vulnerabilities, track recurring telemetry and inspection signals, and report posture trends using a defined maturity scoring model. - Validate designs through structured de-risking exercises and evidence-based reviews to shorten time to value. - Identify expansion opportunities by reviewing consumption patterns, scheduling checkpoint reviews, and synthesizing account health inputs from QBRs. - Engage CISO and CIO stakeholders directly on risk posture, modernization roadmaps, and status updates, while coordinating joint motions with the broader account team.

Requirements

- At least 5 years of experience in engineering or architecture roles focused on cybersecurity products, such as Security Engineer, Security Architect, Cloud Solution Architect, or MLOps/ML Engineer. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline; advanced degree is a plus. - Industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP, or equivalent credentials. - Hands-on expertise in data security and governance, including DSPM and DLP concepts, plus familiarity with AI/ML architectures. - Proven track record engaging C-level stakeholders on risk, resilience, and modernization initiatives. - Demonstrated experience with solution design, proof-of-concept delivery, telemetry monitoring, and maturity modeling, paired with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

- Familiarity with the DRMM-style resilience maturity scoring framework. - VMCE-level certification (can be completed after start).
