A senior C# developer position on a team building backup and resilience software for Microsoft 365 environments. The role blends hands-on backend feature development with team leadership, including supervising day-to-day operations and helping shape the technical direction of a commercial product used by a large enterprise customer base. Responsibilities
- Supervise the team's daily operations and maintain a healthy, motivating working atmosphere - Collaborate with product management to analyze business requirements and convert them into technical tasks - Design and implement new product features, with a primary focus on backend services - Estimate implementation effort, weighing cost, capacity, and risk - Make architectural and technical decisions, lead code reviews, and mentor other engineers - Establish and run team rituals such as planning sessions, daily standups, and retrospectives - Communicate progress, risks, and decisions to project stakeholders
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience on commercial projects - Strong proficiency in C# and .NET, with solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and the Windows API - Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills paired with a high degree of ownership and self-management - Strong problem-solving ability and attention to technical detail - Proactive, results-oriented mindset - English proficiency sufficient to work with international, distributed teams
Nice to have
- Familiarity with REST services, PowerShell, and some C++/C++/CLI - Experience with .NET 10 and tooling such as Visual Studio or Rider - Background with Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, or TeamCity - Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory, or PostgreSQL
