Responsibilities
- Design and implement forward-looking technical approaches that go beyond a single team to solve open-ended problems - Take ownership of components within the checkout system and define their long-term health - Build and maintain APIs and microservice interfaces that manage every customer transaction - Improve the performance and reliability of systems powering the user purchase journey - Collaborate across teams to develop the next generation of the checkout platform - Contribute to engineering standards, tooling, and processes across the platform
Requirements
- Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field - Proven track record of developing, testing, and shipping high-quality software at scale - Clear written and verbal communication, with a tendency toward over-communication - Experience partnering with product and engineering leaders to define projects and drive technical decisions - Customer-centric mindset with empathy for the user experience - Collaborative approach to growing teams through shared learning and constructive feedback
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Python, Kotlin, RPC frameworks, Redis, MySQL, AWS, and GitHub
