Role overview
Join as a Configuration (DevOps) Engineer supporting core development teams within a distributed engineering organization. The role centers on owning the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for C#/.NET and C++ projects running across both Windows and Linux build agents. While the team collaborates closely, day-to-day expectations lean toward independently owning a workstream end-to-end, making a self-driven, autonomous approach as important as the technical toolkit.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and monitor build automation systems to keep software builds and deployments reliable - Write and maintain scripts for infrastructure deployment automation, monitoring, and configuration management - Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline failures while tuning build performance across the toolchain - Implement and manage configuration management tools so that development, testing, and production environments stay consistent - Document processes, procedures, pipeline architecture, and operational standards for clarity and continuity - Partner with software developers, QA engineers, and IT operations to ensure smooth product delivery - Proactively drive improvements to CI/CD processes, automation, and reliability, with a growth path toward owning build and release infrastructure health, security SLAs, and incident response
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with a CI/CD system such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, TeamCity, or comparable tooling - Scripting experience for process automation using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages - Comfort using REST APIs as a process automation tool - Administration and scripting experience on Windows and/or Unix/Linux environments, including Bash - Practical experience with Docker and Git - Track record of cross-team collaboration - Self-driven and autonomous mindset, comfortable owning tasks end-to-end with minimal oversight - English proficiency sufficient for working with international teams
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of C# and/or C++ - Experience with monorepositories, large build artifacts, and cross-platform toolchains - Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible - Experience maintaining RPM repositories - Knowledge of virtualization platforms - Deeper package-manager expertise, such as publishing or maintaining NuGet or Conan packages and authoring custom Conan recipes - Exposure to monitoring and observability stacks such as Grafana or Prometheus
