2026-11 Senior/Staff Software Engineer

Role overview Build and operate backend services and platform infrastructure for an AI agent platform. The role spans distributed systems, cloud operations, automation, and support for production machine learning workloads, with a senior-level contribution to architecture, reliability, and engineering practices.

Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable backend services and platform components. - Lead code, system design, and architecture reviews, while mentoring teammates. - Improve infrastructure automation, CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting. - Work with product and research teams to deploy, scale, and optimize machine learning and natural language processing workloads. - Lead efforts to strengthen reliability, scalability, and developer experience as the platform grows. - Promote strong practices in code quality, testing, and DevOps, including thoughtful use of AI-assisted coding tools.

Requirements - At least five years of software engineering experience focused on backend systems or platform engineering. - Proficiency in Java and Python. - Significant experience with at least one of GCP, AWS, Azure, or on-premises computing environments. - Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, plus infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi. - Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK/EFK. - Background in distributed systems and production ML platforms or workloads; familiarity with Kafka, Spark, or Airflow is also sought.
