PHP (Symfony) Software Engineer

Role overview Build backend services for a cloud and hosting platform used across a broad European infrastructure. You’ll develop platform features and internal APIs, while contributing to technical analysis and design in a small PHP team. The work connects application development with Linux-based hosting systems and service automation.

Responsibilities - Develop and maintain backend features in PHP and Symfony. - Build and evolve microservices and internal APIs, including API specifications. - Contribute to technical analysis, architecture and implementation decisions. - Create automations for hosting services, including managed WordPress and WooCommerce offerings. - Work with colleagues across development, infrastructure and operations to improve the platform.

Requirements - At least three years of PHP development experience and substantial experience with Symfony. - Interest in learning about infrastructure, systems and Linux hosting environments. - Ability to recognize recurring issues and turn them into automated solutions. - Proactive ownership, analytical thinking and constructive communication. - Fluent English and ability to work effectively with colleagues in an international setting.

Nice to have Experience with APIs, API Platform or OpenAPI; MySQL, PostgreSQL or Elasticsearch; Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Git or GitLab; and Linux systems, servers or storage.
