Senior Product Designer

Role overview

The Senior Product Designer will shape how engineers and platform teams experience a technically complex software product. This role combines product strategy, user research, interaction design, and visual craft, with close collaboration across frontend engineering, backend engineering, product, and brand design from early concepts through polished delivery.

Responsibilities

- Design clear, refined interfaces from initial exploration through production-ready execution. - Partner closely with frontend engineers to scope work, resolve tradeoffs, and support implementation. - Research technical requirements, user needs, competing solutions, and their implications for the experience. - Turn ambiguous product and engineering requirements into a focused design direction. - Present and defend design decisions while constructively challenging assumptions when needed. - Maintain visual consistency between the product experience and the broader brand identity.

Requirements

- At least two years designing B2B products or user interfaces, preferably for engineering, DevOps, or platform users. - Sufficient technical fluency to understand complex software concepts through research, documentation, or experience. - A user-centered approach grounded in understanding specific user needs and workflows. - Strong visual design skills and familiarity with contemporary interface patterns. - Willingness to learn a highly technical subject area through independent study and experimentation. - Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to structure effective design presentations.

Nice to have

- Experience designing for cloud platforms, DevOps tools, Kubernetes, or other infrastructure products used by engineers. - Experience working autonomously in an early-stage organization.
