Remote job
Jr. AI Native Experience Designer
Job details
About this role
Role overview
Design and prototype digital products and services that use AI to create useful new experiences. You’ll work with design, engineering, strategy, and client partners to explore ideas, test them with people, and help promising concepts progress toward implementation. The role combines human-centered design craft with hands-on experimentation and technical fluency.
Responsibilities
- Shape AI-enabled experiences from early concepts through detailed and functional prototypes. - Explore interaction patterns for agents, copilots, conversational tools, generative interfaces, and multimodal systems. - Turn complex user, technical, and business needs into clear, intuitive journeys and interfaces. - Use AI in research, ideation, prototyping, testing, and iteration; build interactive work in Figma and emerging tools. - Work with engineers to understand implementation constraints and move concepts toward working front ends. - Evaluate AI capabilities and design for uncertainty, transparency, trust, user control, and unexpected outputs.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of professional experience in experience, product, interaction, UX/UI, or a related design discipline. - A portfolio showing digital design work from problem framing through interaction design and execution. - Strong foundations in Figma, prototyping, interaction design, design systems, user journeys, information architecture, usability, and research. - Practical experience using AI in design, prototyping, or creation, with curiosity to test emerging tools and capabilities. - Critical thinking and the ability to structure ambiguous problems and challenge assumptions. - Technical fluency sufficient to collaborate closely with engineers, plus clear communication and storytelling skills.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, React, or modern front-end development. - Experience designing for AI uncertainty and non-deterministic outputs, with attention to trust and user control. - Contributions to design systems or experience translating them into working interfaces. - Side projects, hackathon work, or other experiments that show learning through making.
Benefits and work setup
The role offers cross-disciplinary collaboration, opportunities to experiment with emerging technologies, and the chance to apply AI capabilities to client challenges. The work includes both established design patterns and concepts that may require new approaches.
