Role overview
The Principal Product Manager, Capital Platform will own strategy and execution for a complex platform area that enables financial institutions and investment partners to participate in lending programs at scale. As a senior individual contributor, this role will shape enterprise-grade capabilities for partner integrations, capital execution, reporting, and embedded or white-label financial solutions while coordinating work across product, engineering, finance, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a major capital-platform problem space. - Lead multi-quarter initiatives that span teams and require systems thinking, prioritization, and comfort with ambiguity. - Design configurable, reusable platform capabilities that support diverse capital partners without excessive bespoke implementation. - Work closely with engineering on architecture, technical trade-offs, sequencing, reliability, and long-term platform evolution. - Use customer insight, operational data, and domain knowledge to make high-confidence product decisions. - Deliver durable solutions that satisfy enterprise, compliance, reliability, and operational requirements.
Requirements
- Seven or more years of product-management experience, or equivalent evidence of owning complex initiatives with significant scope and impact. - Experience building enterprise-grade platforms or infrastructure products, especially in financial services, fintech, or other regulated environments. - Demonstrated zero-to-one product experience, from defining a problem and validating a solution through scaling the resulting product. - Familiarity with capital markets, lending, financial operations, data platforms, reporting systems, or analytics products. - Ability to collaborate across product, engineering, finance, compliance, machine learning, and data-science teams. - Experience working in a high-growth or scaling technology organization.
Benefits and work setup
The role is remote, with collaboration across U.S. and Canadian East and West Coast time zones. Most work can be performed remotely, with regular in-person sessions generally scheduled once or twice per quarter for several consecutive days.
