About this role
Role overview A hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Technical Architect role responsible for end-to-end technical architecture across Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain solutions and Azure-based integrations. The architect owns solution quality, scalability, and long-term operability throughout the full application lifecycle, combining deep technical expertise with strong business understanding.
Responsibilities - Own end-to-end delivery of Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain solutions, including architecture, design, implementation, deployment, and adoption. - Serve as the technical authority for Dynamics 365 implementations, accountable for solution success even when configuration or development is performed by other team members. - Define and govern customization and extension strategies, ensuring alignment with Microsoft best practices and One Version update requirements. - Architect, explain, and troubleshoot integrations between Dynamics 365 and external systems using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, Dataverse, and dual-write scenarios. - Establish and enforce Azure, ALM, and DevOps practices, including environment strategy, CI/CD pipelines, release governance, and safe promotion of code to production. - Translate business and functional requirements into scalable, supportable technical designs, and design solutions for testing, monitoring, operability, and long-term maintainability.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree and typically eight or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations or Finance and Supply Chain workloads, with proven ownership of design, implementation, deployment, and adoption. - Multiple full-cycle Dynamics 365 implementations delivered. - Ability to review, prototype, and assess custom code, with hands-on knowledge of X++, .NET and C#, JavaScript, plugins, and workflows, and a strong understanding of extension models and customization limits. - Experience designing, defending, and troubleshooting enterprise integration patterns, including REST and SOAP APIs, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, and Dataverse or dual-write scenarios. - Hands-on experience with Application Lifecycle Management, cloud governance, Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, source control strategies, and Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS). - Strong understanding of finance, supply chain, warehouse, and customer engagement business processes, plus knowledge of testing strategies and designs for monitoring, alerting, and failure visibility.
Nice to have - Microsoft MB-700: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Solution Architect certification. - Experience with large-scale or enterprise Dynamics 365 implementations. - Peripheral understanding of operational applications in SaaS platforms such as ServiceNow or SFS Azure.
