Job details
About this role
Role overview
This is an early-stage opportunity for the first GTM engineer at a startup building an enterprise AI SaaS platform. The engineer will partner closely with growth, sales, design, and engineering to ship AI-powered systems that compound revenue, working as both a builder and an operator. The focus is on replacing manual go-to-market workflows with internal tools, AI agents, and automation, and on shipping code that directly affects pipeline, conversion, and retention.
Responsibilities
- Ship AI-driven workflows that scale growth and sales motions and create a durable advantage - Audit the existing GTM stack, surface gaps and redundancies, and ship against them quickly - Build internal tools and agents that handle lead routing, enrichment, outbound personalization, account research, content distribution, and attribution - Embed with sales and growth teams to convert high-performing plays into systems the rest of the organization can run - Decide between off-the-shelf tooling and custom builds, and partner with engineering and design to dogfood internal AI capabilities - Publish internal playbooks and guides so winning approaches propagate across the team
Requirements
- Around two to five years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful time applied to GTM, growth, or revenue systems - Heavy user of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, with shipped work using them - Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI agents, including RAG, evals, tool use, and prompt engineering - Comfort with the modern GTM stack (Clay, HubSpot or Salesforce, Apollo, Cargo, Gong, Outreach or Instantly) and fluency with APIs, webhooks, and integrations - Strong product and design taste, plus experience building and maintaining production systems used by real users
Nice to have
- Experience at early-stage startups or building your own products - Shipped AI agents that moved an actual revenue metric beyond demos - Background in RevOps, marketing operations, or sales engineering before moving fully into building
Benefits and work setup
- Opportunity to define and shape a new function as the company scales - Unlimited paid time off with a minimum twenty-day vacation policy - High-intensity, fast-moving environment with weekly shipping cadence and limited structured management
