About this role

Role overview A fully remote Product Manager role focused on shaping the direction of a cross-domain software product portfolio serving government and regulated clients. The position blends product strategy, customer insight and delivery support, with an emphasis on reusable capabilities rather than one-off solutions. It suits someone who can balance commercial, technical and user perspectives while working closely with engineering, architecture and delivery teams.

Responsibilities - Own and communicate the product vision, strategy and outcome-focused roadmap, keeping it aligned with customer, user and commercial priorities. - Translate insight from customers, prospects and operational environments into prioritised product outcomes and reusable capabilities. - Maintain market awareness, track competitor and technology developments, and run SWOT analysis to protect and differentiate the proposition. - Work with engineering, architecture and delivery teams to clarify problems, intended outcomes and product context without prescribing technical solutions. - Balance customer commitments, technical debt, security, platform improvement and risk mitigation when prioritising investment. - Support commercial and business-development activity with clear product positioning and roadmap context.

Requirements - UK-based and eligible for Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance due to the nature of the work. - Demonstrable experience managing platform, infrastructure or technically complex software products. - Strong grasp of outcome-focused, user-centred product management and product lifecycle concepts including evergreening and technical debt. - Track record of turning customer-specific requirements into reusable product capabilities. - Confidence working alongside software engineering, architecture and delivery teams, with strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills. - Ability to make balanced decisions when evidence is incomplete and to communicate difficult prioritisation trade-offs clearly.

Nice to have - Background in enterprise, government, defence or other highly regulated environments. - Familiarity with secure software delivery, DevSecOps, cloud platforms or service operations. - Experience with product discovery, service design or user-research techniques. - Comfort using evidence, metrics and feedback to assess product performance across multiple delivery teams or components.

Benefits and work setup - Fully remote working within the UK. - 28 days' holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell an additional week. - Annual bonus scheme. - Income protection cover for up to five years. - 8% non-contributory pension, private healthcare and life insurance. - Enhanced parental leave and flexible working arrangements. - Opportunities for learning, development and career progression within a supportive team environment.

Note: an offer of employment is subject to successful completion of the relevant security screening and clearance process.
