Role overview Lead a software development team focused on production scheduling technology delivered as a dedicated application within a unified supply chain planning platform. The role blends people leadership with enough technical depth to shape product architecture and direction, without requiring hands-on coding every day. It is suited to an engineering manager who enjoys coaching technically strong teams, defining quality standards collaboratively, and operating in a fast-growing, internationally distributed environment.
Responsibilities - Lead and grow a software development team of approximately five engineers, supporting both performance and career development - Maintain a working understanding of the product's technical architecture and direction to guide trade-offs and priorities - Partner with the team to define what "great" looks like, including engineering practices, quality bar, and delivery expectations - Contribute to the broader strategy for integrating AI tooling into daily engineering work and organizational workflows - Translate production scheduling customer needs into a clear technical roadmap in collaboration with product and operations stakeholders
Requirements - Proven experience leading a software development team, ideally in a growing or scaling organization - A software development background with a solid grasp of architecture and technical trade-offs - Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to draw out the best in a technically strong team without being overly directive - Hands-on familiarity with manufacturing operations and how planning tools are used in practice by industrial customers - Comfort using AI tools in everyday work and helping shape their use as a wider organizational strategy - Fluent written and spoken English
Nice to have - Specific experience building or using production scheduling software, such as advanced planning and scheduling (APS) tools used in discrete or process manufacturing - Experience working with international, cross-border engineering teams
