Job details
About this role
Role overview A remote, UK-based Delivery Manager role operating across both project and programme-level software delivery. The position blends flow-based agile practices with the coordination needed to align multiple workstreams, manage risk, and maintain visibility for senior stakeholders. It suits someone who can zoom out to programme-level concerns while still keeping delivery flow healthy inside individual teams.
Responsibilities - Coordinate delivery across multiple related projects or workstreams, ensuring alignment with broader programme goals and surfacing dependencies early. - Lead agile delivery using Kanban and flow-based practices, keeping work-in-progress, blockers, throughput, and upcoming priorities visible. - Provide concise but structured reporting for programme sponsors and senior leadership, tracking progress against objectives, milestones, and commitments. - Identify and manage programme-level risks, issues, and cross-team or cross-vendor dependencies using a pragmatic, lightweight RAID process. - Act as the central coordination point between engineering, technical leadership, internal stakeholders, and customer-side contacts, tailoring updates to the audience. - Contribute to maturing the organisation's delivery framework, tools, and documentation as programmes grow in scale and complexity.
Requirements - Experience managing software delivery across multiple teams or workstreams, beyond single-project coordination. - Strong understanding of flow-based agile delivery and programme-level planning. - Proven ability to spot cross-cutting risks, large dependencies, and structural blockers. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences. - Comfort operating with structure while avoiding heavy process, and a pragmatic, solution-focused mindset. - UK-based and eligible for Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote working within the UK. - Salary band of £75,000 to £90,000 depending on experience. - Pension plan with a competitive employer contribution. - Private medical healthcare covering dental and optical care for employees and family. - Flexible working culture, autonomy over personal development, electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme, life assurance, and a cycle-to-work programme. - 28 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with regular team events and seasonal parties.
