About this role

Role overview This is an Associate Technical Product Manager position on an application team supporting financial advisor workflows. The work centers on a complex domain where portfolios are simultaneously affected by market movements, user actions, and automated processes, and where correctness under concurrency is essential. The role sits at the intersection of systems thinking, product judgment, and stakeholder communication, helping translate intricate behavior into clear, trustworthy user experiences.

Responsibilities - Explain issues, potential solutions, and tradeoffs to a variety of stakeholders in clear, accessible language - Draft bug reports and feature requests that surface the underlying user needs rather than just surface symptoms - Partner with engineering to design systems that hold up under real-world conditions and concurrent activity - Produce product documentation that helps new users get up and running quickly - Organize and prioritize the backlog so the team can sequence work effectively - Track and analyze product outcomes, flagging delivery risks early

Requirements - One to three years building production applications, or a degree with strong quantitative content such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, or computer science - Demonstrated ability to reason about quantitative data and systems governed by complex domain logic - Excellent interpersonal skills when collaborating across functions - Clear and concise written and verbal communication - Ability to weigh multiple alternative solutions and choose pragmatically - Self-directed learner who picks up new skills as the work demands

Nice to have - Prior fintech experience, though it is not required to succeed in the role - Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Google Docs, Wiki.js, Figma, Miro, Google Sheets, Superset, SQL, and open-source coding agents or local LLMs

Benefits and work setup - Hybrid work preferred; Boston-area candidates are expected on-site two days per week for the first six months - Candidates outside Boston should expect roughly week-long trips several times in the first six months and about three times per year afterward - Salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience - No visa sponsorship is available; candidates must already have ongoing authorization to work in the United States
